  1. Using better quotes (again). Passed back Miller short answer and made some comments. Rewrites due Tuesday, not Friday! :)
  2. Cite or Die mini-lesson using summer assignment
  3. Begin Purtian synthesis short answer:

What do the documents illustrate about the Purtian belief system?

  •         Use all four sources from summer assignment plus the Reader handout
  • CITE OR DIE! (5 minimum)
  • 1/2 page (I won’t read any  more than 1 full page)
  • Due Wednesday

  4. In groups, explain the meaning of your paragraph and find two key quotes. Be prepared to share with the class on Thursday.
  5. HWK: FD chapt. 2,3 for Friday

  2. Hwk: Miller article, due Tuesday (will use for short answer on Crucible exam Tues, 5-10 question on mc exam Wednesday). Read and annotate (underline, star, highlight) places where Miller’s purpose for writing The Crucible is evident. (Look for good quotes.) Make 5-10 connections between Red Scare and witch trials in margins.
